Grow fresh, aromatic spearmint without waiting for seeds to germinate. Our farm-grown spearmint seedlings arrive established in rockwool and ready to transplant into your Tower Garden, Lettuce Grow, other hydroponic system, container or garden soil.

Spearmint produces bright green leaves with the classic sweet, refreshing mint flavor used in teas, drinks, salads, sauces and desserts. It is a vigorous grower and can be harvested repeatedly throughout the growing season.

Growing Spearmint in Hydroponics

Spearmint grows exceptionally well in hydroponic gardens, including Tower Garden and Lettuce Grow systems. Because mint develops a vigorous root system, check and trim the roots periodically so they do not interfere with pumps or neighboring plants.

Spearmint Seedling Growing Tips

  • Plant type: Perennial herb
  • Light: Full sun to partial shade
  • Harvest: Pick leaves and stems as needed
  • Growing systems: Tower Garden, Lettuce Grow and other hydroponic systems
  • Also suitable for: Containers, raised beds and garden soil

Regular harvesting encourages fresh growth and helps keep the plant compact. When growing spearmint in soil, consider using a container or another confined growing area because mint can spread aggressively.

Skip the germination stage and start growing with a live spearmint seedling shipped directly from our Florida farm.
