🧼 Spring Prep Checklist for Your Tower Garden

Before you start sowing or planting, let’s get your Tower Garden ready:

Clean Your Tower – If it's been idle or stored away, give it a good rinse and make sure the pump and tubing are free of debris. IF it's really grubby you can follow these directions.
Check Your Pump – Plug it in to ensure it’s working smoothly before loading up with water and nutrients.
Top Off with Fresh Water & Nutrients – Refill the reservoir and add fresh Mineral Blend nutrients being sure to add half-strength for new seedlings.
Test the pH – Keep it between 5.5–6.5 for happy plants!

🌱 What to Grow in Spring

Spring is all about variety! Here are our top picks for what thrives this time of year:

🥬 Leafy Greens

  • Lettuce (Romaine, Butterhead, Oakleaf)
  • Kale
  • Swiss Chard
  • Spinach

🌿 Herbs

  • Basil (does best over 60F)
  • Cilantro
  • Dill
  • Mint
  • Parsley

🍓 Fruiting Crops (if you're in a warm zone or growing indoors with lights)

  • Tomatoes
  • Cucumbers
  • Peppers
  • Strawberries

🌞 Tip: Fruiting crops need 8+ hours of sunlight or full-spectrum grow lights. Leafy greens and herbs are more flexible with light needs!

🌿 Seedlings or Seeds?

Both work great in a Tower Garden, but for faster results, we recommend starting with Living Towers seedlings (we offer over 100 varieties and ship direct!). You’ll be harvesting in no time. Browse our selection here

💡 Pro Tips for Spring Success

  • Plant like a pyramid – Put taller crops like tomatoes at the bottom and shorter herbs or baby greens at the top. This helps with light exposure and airflow.
  • Watch the temps – Outdoor temps should consistently stay above 45°F overnight for young, delicate seedlings to thrive.
  • Rotate the lid – Give all sides of your Tower equal sun by rotating the top lid once a week.
  • Pollination – Fruiting crops grown indoors may need a little help! Gently shake the flowers or use a soft brush.

🌼 Happy Spring Growing!

Spring is one of the most abundant, rewarding seasons for Tower Garden growers. With a little prep and the right crops, your tower will be overflowing with fresh produce in no time!
