Plants grow vigorously with upright medium-green foliage and produce solid, flavorful stalks with excellent texture. This variety is prized for its reliability, productivity, and ability to produce uniform harvests.

Introduced in 1883 by Johnson & Stokes Seed Company, Golden Self-Blanching quickly became a popular standard celery for home gardeners thanks to its easy blanching and excellent keeping quality.
