Vegetables - Celery, Golden Self Blanching Seeds

Grow a classic heirloom celery with Golden Self-Blanching Celery Seeds. This dependable variety produces compact plants with thick, crisp stalks that naturally blanch to a light yellow-green color.

The sturdy stalks grow closely together, requiring little to no mounding or covering to produce tender, mild celery. Plants grow vigorously with upright, medium-green foliage and produce solid, flavorful stalks with excellent texture.

Introduced in 1883 by Johnson & Stokes Seed Company, Golden Self-Blanching became a popular celery variety for home gardeners thanks to its easy blanching, productivity, and keeping quality. The crisp stalks are excellent for fresh eating, cooking, soups, salads, and stews.
