    Red Russian Kale is a colorful, tender kale variety with purple stems and gray-green leaves shaped somewhat like large oak leaves. The leaves are more tender than many other kale varieties, making them excellent for salads as well as light cooking.

    Plants can grow 2–3 feet tall. The purple coloring becomes richer after frost, when the flavor also becomes sweeter. Even the larger leaves remain surprisingly tender and delicate.

    These live Red Russian kale seedlings can be grown in a Tower Garden, other hydroponic systems, containers or soil gardens.
