Virtus Green Radicchio produces crisp, light green, romaine-like heads with soft green outer leaves and a blanched interior. The uniform heads average about 10 inches tall and have a mildly bitter flavor that adds a fresh bite to salads.

This live radicchio seedling arrives growing in rockwool and is ready to transplant into Tower Garden and other hydroponic systems, Lettuce Grow, containers, raised beds, or garden soil.

Virtus is more reliable at forming heads than older open-pollinated varieties and can be grown from spring through fall.
