Herbs - Parsley, Italian Seeds

Grow fresh Italian parsley from seed for a steady supply of flavorful herbs at home. Italian flat leaf parsley is known for its deeply cut, dark green leaves and bold, fresh flavor, making it a favorite for cooking and garnishing.

The fragrant leaves are widely used in soups, sauces, salads and herb blends. Compared with curly parsley, Italian parsley has a stronger flavor. Harvest the leaves regularly before the plant begins to flower for the best flavor.

Italian parsley seeds can be grown in Tower Gardens and other hydroponic systems, containers, raised beds or garden soil. Parsley is technically a biennial plant but is commonly grown for continuous harvests of fresh leaves.

Each packet contains two grams, which is approximately 300 seeds.

For best germination results, freeze seed for three to five days and then soak in warm water for about eight hours before sowing. Cover seed lightly as darkness helps germination.
