    Description

Buttercrunch is a classic Bibb-type lettuce known for its tender texture and rich, buttery flavor. The plants form loose, rosette-shaped heads with thick, dark green leaves often tinged with reddish tones.

This variety is prized for being slow to bolt and more heat tolerant than many lettuces, allowing for a longer harvest window even as temperatures begin to warm. The crisp yet tender leaves are perfect for fresh salads, sandwiches, and wraps.

Buttercrunch was bred by Cornell University and introduced in 1963, the same year it earned the prestigious All-America Selections® award for its outstanding performance and flavor. 🥬
