Grow classic Early Prolific Straightneck squash from seed. This productive summer squash variety grows on compact bush plants and produces generous harvests of smooth, straight-necked squash with a bright lemon-yellow color.
The fruits taper slightly toward the stem and have tender skin when harvested young. Although they can grow approximately 12–14 inches long, they have the best flavor and texture when harvested at approximately 5–6 inches, while the flesh is especially tender and succulent.
