Description
Grow crisp, sweet peas at home with Sugar Daddy Snap Pea Seeds. This productive, open-pollinated snap pea variety produces plump, deep green, edible pods with a sweet, nutty flavor. The tender, stringless pods grow to approximately 3 inches long and are delicious picked fresh from the plant or added to salads, stir-fries and soups.
Sugar Daddy is a more compact snap pea variety, with vines reaching approximately 24–30 inches tall. Unlike many taller sugar snap peas, the plants do not require extensive trellising, although a small trellis or other support can make harvesting easier. Plants typically mature in approximately 60–74 days and produce generous yields of pods.
Peas are a cool-season crop that grow best in cooler temperatures and full sun. Sugar Daddy peas can be grown in traditional gardens and containers and can also be grown hydroponically in systems such as Tower Garden and Lettuce Grow. When growing vertically, provide support for the vines as they develop.

Growing Sugar Daddy Snap Peas
Sow seeds approximately 1½ inches deep in moist, well-drained growing media or soil. Peas prefer cool growing conditions and should be planted during the cooler parts of the growing season. Provide plenty of light and consistent moisture. Although Sugar Daddy has compact vines, providing a short trellis or other support can help keep plants upright and make the pods easier to find and harvest.
Harvest the pods while they are young, crisp and tender. Regular harvesting encourages continued production and gives you the best texture and flavor.

Planting Instructions
Planting Instructions
For seed saving, allow pods to remain on the plant until they are brittle and open easily. However, if you live in an area with a short growing season, harvest as close to dry as possible and finish drying indoors. Rain and freezing temps will damage beans.
Plant 1-2 seeds per rockwool cube.
